Chennai: Kamal Haasan, president of political outfit Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), will launch his campaign for next year’s Tamil Nadu Assembly elections from December 13, his party announced.
The actor-politician is expected to begin his first phase of campaigning on 13 December through 16 December, MNM vice president Dr R. Mahendran said in a press release.
Haasan is scheduled to cover Madurai, Dindugul, Theni, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari districts during the four days of campaign, he added.
Haasan launched his MNM in February 2018 and the party had contested last year’s Lok Sabha elections but did not win any seat.
