Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar on Tuesday announced the first of an ‘epic series’ that is part of a ‘Change Within’ initiative to mark 75 years of India’s independence.
On Gandhi Jayanti, 2 October, Johar, along with other filmmakers, had launched the initiative aimed at creating inspiring content on the “valor, values and culture” of India.
Johar took to Twitter and shared the announcement, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Happy to announce our first Epic series of #ChangeWithin initiatives to celebrate 75 years of Independence. Friends from the creative fraternity Rajkumar Santoshi, Dinesh Vijan and Mahaveer Jain come together to tell incredible stories of our freedom @narendramodi ji,” Johar tweeted.
Maddock Films, the official handle of filmmaker Dinesh Vijan’s production house, also tweeted on the initiative.

The filmmakers had said they drew inspiration from the prime minister and were looking towards celebrating the spirit of the freedom movement.
