Los Angeles: Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is set to continue the shoot for Mission: Impossible 7 in the United Kingdom, but at a different location.
The newest edition of the action film franchise will shift production to Longcross Film Studios in Surrey, Southeast England, in tier 4 (the highest level of curbs), a report in Variety said.
The movie was earlier being shot at Warner Bros Studios, Leavesden.
Production at the Surrey studio are allowed under strict covid safety rules. Mission: Impossible 7, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, is likely to end principal photography at Longcross.
Britain used to test army tanks at Longcross but it has since been revamped as a shooting location that has housed Skyfall and Guardians of the Galaxy, among others.
Mission: Impossible 7 was one of the first films to be adversely affected by the pandemic.
In February, filming was stopped in Italy in the wake of the covid outbreak there.
Production resumed in September, with filming starting in Italy and Norway before moving to London in December.
The film stars Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Henry Czerny, Pom Klementieff, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett, Shea Whigham, Ving Rhames, and Vanessa Kirby.
The Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media film is set to release on 19 November 2021.
