New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved DDA Housing Scheme 2021, the urban body said in a statement.
Under DDA Housing Scheme 2021, DDA is likely to offer 1,210 flats in areas such as Jasola, Dwarka, Vasant Kunj and Manglapuri.
The DDA, which is chaired by Delhi lieutenant governor Anil Baijal, took the decision at an online meeting held on Tuesday.
“The New Year will bring good news for home buyers as the authority has approved the launch of DDA Online Housing Scheme 2021,” DDA said in the statement.
DDA Housing Scheme 2021 will be a completely online process and DDA is likely to deploy its AWAAS software, which will manage the whole procedure—from processing of applications to handing over possession of the flats.
An allottee of DDA Housing Scheme 2021 will have to visit the DDA office only for the execution deed.
The authority has decided “not to have preferential location charges for DDA flats”, it said in the statement.
“DDA has approved for placing residential plots for group housing to e-auction, which previously was being allotted to registered cooperative housing societies on the recommendation of RCS (registrar cooperative societies),” DDA added.
This move is likely to enable individuals (including companies) and private developers to participate in a competitive manner.
The DDA statement said 15% of the flats will be reserved for the economically weaker sections as per provisions of Master Plan of Delhi 2021 or community service personnel as part of the Centre’s initiative of housing for all.
DDA vice chairman Anurag Jain and other members of the urban body, including Somnath Bharti, Vijender Gupta, Dilip Kumar Pandey and O.P. Sharma attended the meeting, the statement added.
